For the 2010-2011 school year, FSP is adding organic romaine lettuce to three of the Saladbrations selections (The BLT, Garden Salad, and Italiano Salad). Not familiar with Saladbrations? In addition to our regular lunches, FSP offers six a la carte salads, with sides, for a completel meal. They are delicious, nutricious, AND affordable. Although the salads were originally developed for students adults enjoy them too. Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, on a rotating basis during the school year, FSP serves: - Apple Craisin Salad

- The BLT
- Fiesta Salad
- Garden Salad
A new option for milkFSP now offers Skim milk as an option for children. There will still be chocolate and 1% lowfat milk. Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Snack Program Winners of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Poster Contest! Help promote healthy food options by talking to your child about the benefits they have! The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, under Section 19 of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (NSLA), has been a nationwide program since 2008 and operates in selected elementary schools in the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Every Wednesday and Friday your child receives a nutritious vegetable or fruit for them to have throughout their day at school. We encourage healthy nutritious optons for children to have.
